Paul A. Bunn, Jr. Executive Director
Paul A. Bunn, Jr., MD, is the James Dudley Professor of Lung Cancer Research at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. He served as director of the University of Colorado Cancer Center from 1986 to 2009.
Dr. Bunn has been a member of IASLC since its founding and has attended every World Conference on Lung Cancer held since 1974. He was an IASLC board member from 1988 to 1991, served as president from 1994 to 1997 and became executive director in 2003. |

John Wetherington Chief Operating and Financial Officer
John Wetherington is responsible for leading IASLC operations and managing financial and administrative functions for the organization. He has more than 20 years' experience in executive and financial leadership roles at nonprofit organizations. Prior to this he held management and marketing positions in the international financial services industry.
He has bachelor degrees from the University of Colorado, a master's in business administration (MBA) from the University of Denver and a doctorate from the University of Phoenix. Pia Hirsch Director of Education, Corporate Relations and Governance
Pia Hirsch joined the IASLC in 2003 and is responsible for corporate relations, including fundraising and arrangements of IASLC meetings, workshops and educational activities. She attended medical school at the University of Copenhagen and has a B.A. in Public Health Administration from Copenhagen Business School. She speaks Danish, Swedish, Norwegian, German, French and Hebrew.

Kristin M. Richeimer Director of Membership
Kristin Richeimer is responsible for increasing IASLC's membership and expanding the membership base to include new specialties and treatment providers from around the world. She joined IASLC in 2010 after nearly nine years at USA Rugby. She has a bachelor's degree in German from the University of Pennsylvania, and speaks German and French.

Pamela Goens Membership Coordinator
Pamela Goens ensures accurate and efficient day-to-day operations within the membership department.

Kristal Griffith Director of Communications
Kristal Griffith is responsible for all IASLC communications. Before joining the IASLC in 2011, she was a News and Public Affairs Specialist and Video Coordinator for the University of Denver. Prior to her career in public relations, she was a reporter, winning an Edward R. Murrow in 2003 for her work in investigative reporting.

Frances Rubio CME Coordinator and Administrative Assistant
Frances Rubio joined IASLC in August 2011 after more than 20 years in the health care industry and a decade in education.
