Jen Brock Memorial Award

The IASLC's Jen Brock Travel Award history

The IASLC Jen Brock Travel Award was established in memory of Jen Brock, who passed away from cancer in 2019. Jen was an integral part of the International Conference Services (ICS) family. She was always willing to step up and help where needed and was one of the most positive, selfless people we were lucky enough to know. Jen was a social advocate who would not accept any injustice. She cared about people, the environment, her job, clients, and friends. She spread love wherever she went.

Jen joined ICS in 2014 and has worked with many of us on conferences like WCLC, ICNMD, and the World Congress on Diabetes, to name a few, where clients, delegates, and team members could experience the exceptional care she gave to everything she did. She was passionate about planning events and conferences and turning an organization’s idea into a reality. The most enjoyable aspect for her was building relationships along the way. In her spare time, she enjoyed discovering the culture of the Mile High City and the beauty of Colorado with her family.

"Jen was the embodiment of what is good in this world. If everyone lived like her and treated others the way she did, the world would be an infinitely better place. Her spirit will continue to transform lives moving forward and remind us of who we are as a team—a family of peers who need to look out for each other, care for each other, help each other through difficult times, and celebrate the good times we have," said an ICS colleague.
