IASLC Bylaws Amendments Approved by Membership

We are pleased to announce that the recent vote on proposed amendments to the IASLC Bylaws has concluded, and the membership has officially approved the changes put forth by the IASLC Board of Directors. The approved amendments include key modifications designed to enhance governance, increase leadership opportunities, and align with best practices for associations. The significant changes are as follows:

  • Board of Directors Term Length: Reduced from four years to three years.
  • Presidential Term Structure: The terms for President-Elect, President, and Past President have each been reduced from two years to one year.
  • Voting Quorum Requirement: Reduced from 50% to 35%.

Additionally, language throughout the bylaws has been clarified and modernized. These changes took effect on Monday, January 27, 2025
